The Mito Kōmon Festival, a summer tradition in Mito, celebrates Tokugawa Mitsukuni (commonly known as Mito Kōmon).

The fireworks festival 'Mito Kairakuen Fireworks Festival' will be held at Senbagahama Lake on July 25 (Sat), while the main festival parade featuring floats and mikoshi will take place on August 1 (Sat) and 2 (Sun).

At the Mito Kairakuen Fireworks Festival, approximately 5,000 fireworks launched by Japan's top pyrotechnic artisans, Nomura Fireworks Co., Ltd., will illuminate Mito's night sky.
