OMO Kansai Airport (OMO), a 'town-centered' hotel by Hoshino Resorts with the concept of 'Air-City, Fun Time,' will host the 'Yona Yona Neighborhood Beer Garden' from July 23 to October 31, 2026, at its rooftop bar 'Yona Yona Moonwalk,' which overlooks Osaka Bay—one of Japan's Top 100 Sunset Spots. This initiative marks the first collaborative project with 'Yona Yona Brewing Works Osaka Brewery Yona Yona Beer Rise,' opening this summer just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, focusing on regional revitalization. Guests can enjoy locally inspired snacks from a cart modeled after airline meal trolleys and beer tasting sets served on plates shaped like Izumisano City. This event offers a delightful pre-flight evening experience with stunning views from 75 meters above ground.

Background of Development

In Izumisano City, where OMO Kansai Airport is located, 16 private companies and organizations—including the city government, transportation and commercial facilities, accommodation providers, restaurants, and local economic groups—jointly established a 'Town Development Vision Map' in June 2026. OMO Kansai Airport participated in this initiative and partnered with Yona Yona Brewing Works Osaka Brewery, set to open this summer, to launch this project focused on regional revitalization. In 2024, the annual passenger count at Rinku Town Station was approximately 5.2 million, only about one-third of the 15.7 million at the neighboring Kansai Airport Station (＊1), highlighting the urgent need to transform the area from a transit point into a destination. Additionally, about 60% of OMO Kansai Airport guests arrive after 6 PM, prompting the hotel to design an experience that allows travelers to deeply engage with Izumisano’s charm even within limited pre-flight time. The first initiative is this rooftop beer garden, aiming to serve as a 'hub' connecting locals and travelers, increasing fans of Izumisano City, and making it a place people want to visit again.
