【OMO7 Asahikawa】Authors of the picture book "Arashi no Yoru ni," Hiroshi Abe and Yuichi Kimura, appeared! A one-night-only "Special Talk Show" was held

Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Asahikawa, a "city-center" hotel that excites guests, hosted a "Special Talk Show" on Saturday, April 25, 2026, featuring Hiroshi Abe (hereinafter Mr. Abe) and Yuichi Kimura (hereinafter Mr. Kimura), authors of the picture book "Arashi no Yoru ni"! Asahikawa City is an attractive region known for the Asahiyama Zoo, famous for its behavioral exhibits, and its rich nature throughout the four seasons. To promote this charm, OMO7 Asahikawa has been holding the Local Rhythm Night "Tales of Moonlight and Animals" since November 2025. This talk show was held to further explore the appeal of "Arashi no Yoru ni," which is screened during the event, and to provide a special opportunity for fans of the work and local residents to immerse themselves in the world of the story, hearing secret stories of the masterpiece's birth and behind-the-scenes production tales. Approximately 150 fans gathered for this talk show.

**Contents of the Special Talk Show**

**1. Luxurious Collaboration! A Talk Show on the Secret Stories of "Arashi no Yoru ni" Production and Thoughts on Asahikawa**

In the first part, Mr. Abe and Mr. Kimura, the creators of the masterpiece "Arashi no Yoru ni," which has sold over 3.8 million copies in the series, took the stage. A talk show was held where Mr. Abe, who has experience as a former zookeeper at Asahiyama Zoo in Asahikawa City, and Mr. Kimura, shared secret stories of the production of "Arashi no Yoru ni" and reasons for its long-standing popularity. In the second part, Mitsuyuki Noguchi, the series editor from Kodansha, also joined, and valuable episodes that could only be heard there were revealed, such as impressions of the screened "Arashi no Yoru ni," hardships during production, and the story of their encounter.

**2. Simultaneous Holding of an "Original Art Exhibition," including "Arashi no Yoru ni"**

At the Book Tunnel on the 1st floor of OMO7 Asahikawa, an original art exhibition featuring 10 pieces is currently being held: 4 pieces from "Arashi no Yoru ni," 3 from "Shiroi Yami no Hate de," 1 from "Mangetsu no Yoru ni," and 2 from the new work "Aikotoba wa Arashi no Yoru ni" released last year. The exhibition will be held from Saturday, April 25 to Wednesday, May 6.

The autograph session did not require reservations and had no limit on the number of participants, allowing all talk show attendees to interact directly with Mr. Abe and Mr. Kimura. Participants received autographs while holding their latest picture books and experiencing the warm personalities of the two authors.
