Each 'Hoshinoya' facility offers an overwhelmingly extraordinary experience with its own unique theme. At 'Hoshinoya Fuji,' Japan's first glamping resort, we will be offering the 'Scented Peach Glamorous Breakfast' from July 1 to August 31, 2026. This breakfast, which can be enjoyed on the terrace of your cabin (guest room) with a spectacular view of Lake Kawaguchi, allows you to savor the peaches of Yamanashi. The meal features a luxurious assortment of three types of peaches, at their peak in summer, paired with five different wine vinegars.
Background Yamanashi Prefecture, thanks to its favorable geographical conditions—long daylight hours, significant temperature differences between day and night, and well-draining soil—is Japan's leading producer of peaches and grapes (*1). This program focuses on the fresh, delicious taste of summer peaches, pairing them with wine vinegar made from grapes, another representative product of Yamanashi. The wine vinegar, created by further fermenting wine, has a mellow and gentle acidity that vividly enhances the sweetness of the seasonal peaches. We developed this breakfast with the desire to offer a refreshingly enjoyable summer morning, allowing guests to savor a meal combining Yamanashi's peaches and a perfect summer vinegar on their cabin terrace, amidst the crisp morning air. *1: Fruit Production and Shipment Statistics from 2007 to 2025 (Final Report) (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) Feature 1: Luxuriously Savor Three Types of Seasonal Peaches Prepared in Different Ways There are about 100 varieties of peaches (*2), and during the short two-month harvest season, their flavor profile changes from the light, fresh sweetness of early summer to the rich, deep taste of late summer. Additionally, the diversity of aromas, from floral to sweet and creamy, is unique to this season. The chefs at Hoshinoya Fuji carefully assess the ever-changing charms of the peaches—their shape, juice content, and firmness—to create a special dish withこだわりの (kodawari no - meticulous) cooking methods. The breakfast begins with a tasting comparison of raw peaches, allowing guests to experience the subtle differences in flavor depending on the timing of the harvest and to luxuriously appreciate the depth of peaches that can only be savored in their production area. *2: (Reference link)
