[Risonare Atami] "Kan Kan Beer Garden" to Enjoy Encounters with 100 Types of Canned Foods x 20 Types of Craft Beers While Viewing a Superb View

In a space colored by sky, sea, and forest, Risonare Atami, a resort hotel that offers a heartwarming stay, will host the "Kan Kan Beer Garden" from June 1 to August 31, 2026, allowing guests to enjoy encounters with 100 types of canned foods and 20 types of craft beers while admiring a superb view. The space at "Sorano Beach Books & Cafe" on the hotel's top floor will be decorated with canned food-inspired motifs, featuring 100 varieties of canned goods. This year, a new plate will be offered, allowing guests to enjoy combinations of ingredients and sauces according to their preferences. This event allows guests to experience the charm of Shizuoka Prefecture's specialty canned foods and craft beers, alongside 20 types of craft beers, including Risonare Atami's original.

Background

Shizuoka Prefecture has a long history of successful sake brewing, benefiting from its abundant water resources and a favorable environment for developing brewing techniques, which has led to the recent spread of craft beer culture. Currently, there are over 30 breweries in the prefecture, boasting one of the highest numbers nationwide. Furthermore, Shizuoka Prefecture has many canning factories, and its production volume of canned tuna accounts for 98% of the national total, ranking first in the country (＊). Risonare Atami has been holding this event since 2019 with the desire for guests to enjoy two of Shizuoka's proudest cultures alongside the magnificent views of Atami. This year, with the theme of "encounters," the event has been expanded to help guests discover their preferred flavors and pairings.

Features of "Kan Kan Beer Garden"

1. A Can-Themed Space to Discover 100 Types of Canned Foods 【New】

At Sorano Beach Books & Cafe, overlooking Sagami Bay and the city of Atami, new circular shelves inspired by cans and refreshing color schemes have been introduced. The shelves display 100 types of canned foods that pair well with beer, ranging from seafood like canned tuna to unusual varieties such as oden, primarily produced in Shizuoka Prefecture. In this open and airy space, guests can freely pick up cans and find their favorites.

2. Original Plate to Discover New Facets of Canned Foods Through Ingredient and Sauce Combinations 【New】

We offer an original plate to discover the new deliciousness of canned foods. First, choose a base canned food from five options including tuna, sakura shrimp, and whitebait. Then, pair it with ingredients such as citrus and herbs, and one of three sauces, including a refreshing mayonnaise sauce made with wasabi. By combining them to your liking and discovering unexpected pairings with ingredients and sauces, you can experience a new side of familiar canned foods.

3. 20 Types of Craft Beers Including Risonare Atami Original 【Power Up】

In collaboration with "FUJIYAMA HUNTER'S BEER," a brewery in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture, we have developed an original craft beer with a refreshing citrus aroma, along with 20 other uniquely flavored types from the prefecture. The combinations with 100 types of canned foods total 2,000 possibilities. You can spend a luxurious time searching for your perfect pairing.
