BEB5 Tsuchiura by Hoshino Resorts (BEB), which offers experiences that are more than an izakaya but less than a full trip, will host the "Hydrangea Blooming" event from June 1 to July 14, 2026, to brighten up the rainy season. Under the supervision of "Ibaraki Flower Park," a renowned flower spot in Ibaraki Prefecture, the public space "TAMARIBA" will be decorated with hydrangeas. Guests can enjoy being surrounded by hydrangeas 24 hours a day, regardless of the weather. We propose a new style of flower viewing, filled with hydrangeas from morning to night, including a retro-cute "Hydrangea Cream Soda" and a refreshing "Hydrangea Candle Scooping" that friends can enjoy together.

Background

Ibaraki Prefecture boasts many popular hydrangea spots, such as "Amabiki Kannon," "Nihonmatsuji Temple," and "Ibaraki Flower Park." Therefore, "Ibaraki Flower Park," which conveys the charm of Ibaraki's flowers throughout the year, and "BEB5 Tsuchiura," which supports travel for younger generations, shared the desire to introduce the lesser-known charm of Ibaraki's hydrangeas, leading to the planning of this event.

Ibaraki Flower Park, a leading flower sanctuary in Ibaraki Prefecture, supervised the spatial design. The shelves and tables of "TAMARIBA" are filled with colorful hydrangeas, transforming the space into a garden as soon as you step inside. You can take photos of the blooming hydrangeas and relax at any time, regardless of the weather.

"Hydrangea Mini Parfait" and "Hydrangea Cream Soda"

Two hydrangea-themed menu items will be available. The "Hydrangea Cream Soda" features a beautiful blue-to-purple gradient, evoking a nostalgic feeling. The "Hydrangea Mini Parfait" is a photogenic dessert that expresses hydrangeas with delicate "bean paste flowers."

Feature 3: Take home travel memories with "Hydrangea Candle Scooping"

"Hydrangea Candle Scooping" is an experience where you scoop colorful hydrangea-shaped candles floating on the water using a paper scoop (poi). 【Cooperation】Ibaraki Flower Park

Ibaraki Flower Park was renovated in spring 2021 with the concept of "feeling from seeing." It is a facility where you can admire seasonal flowers, including about 900 varieties of roses. This time, Natsumi Manaka, a florist at the park, supervised the spatial design of the public space "TAMARIBA." Furthermore, within Ibaraki Flower Park, a collaborative project with BEB5 Tsuchiura by Hoshino Resorts, "The Season of Hydrangeas Sparkling in Drops," will be held from June 1 (Mon) to June 29 (Mon). During this period, when beautiful "spring roses" and fresh "hydrangeas" adorn the park, the park's decorations will transform to be filled with hydrangeas of various colors. We will deliver a luxurious time woven with colors and flavors that can only be experienced here, including seasonal gourmet food and activities enjoyed while surrounded by hydrangeas.
