BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki (BEB) by Hoshino Resorts will once again host the "NEO Awamori Summer Night" event from June 1 to August 31, 2026. This event allows guests to enjoy Awamori, Okinawa's representative alcoholic beverage, as "NEO Awamori" – easy to drink and visually appealing. Entering its second year, this year features the new "Tropical Frozen Cocktail," where guests choose their favorite "Oshi-Pake Awamori" (Awamori with unique packaging) to pour over a frozen drink. This offers a new way to enjoy Awamori, even for those who have never tried it, providing an opportunity to experience Okinawan culture. Guests can comfortably enjoy Okinawa's summer nights with a drink in hand at "TAMARIBA," a public space adorned with decorations made from Awamori bottles.

Background In Okinawa Prefecture, the decline in Awamori consumption, especially among younger generations, is a serious issue. A 2021 survey (*) showed that the number of people who named Awamori as their "favorite alcoholic beverage" decreased by about half over six years. This event was planned with the desire for younger generations to also enjoy Awamori, an important part of Okinawan culture. By focusing on modern, design-conscious packaging and diverse ways of enjoying Awamori that break from traditional styles, the event aims to provide an opportunity for young people to experience Awamori "more casually."
