- Lantern - Night Leaf Sounds - Kintsugi (Golden Repair) - Tulip

Natsuiro Bijin Series

Capturing the Radiance of Summer Moments

The 'Natsuiro Bijin' (Summer Beauty) series expresses elegance and vibrancy in summer light. Story-inspired patterns and vibrant motifs create a festive look perfect for the season.

Features of Functional Cotton Fabric

This season’s Natsuiro Bijin line uses specially treated cotton fabric.

It provides a cool touch sensation and blocks over 80% of UV rays due to UV-protective processing.

Additionally, 100% cotton ensures excellent moisture absorption, thermal regulation, and a soft feel against the skin.

These yukatas offer both visual beauty and functional support for summer outings.

Designs include:

- Glass Beads - Sunflower

Cotton Fabric

Made from 100% cotton 'Kawari Beni-ume Ori' weave, which uses threads of varying thickness to create a textured surface. This delivers a linen-like, slightly rough texture and a cool, non-sticky feel even when sweating. Available for an additional ¥770 on top of the base rental price of ¥4,180.

Additional Designs:

- Agapanthus - Floating Goldfish - Seashell

Summer Events in Kyoto to Enjoy in Yukata

Gion Matsuri

One of Japan’s three great festivals, with over 1,150 years of history, Gion Matsuri is a summer tradition in Kyoto.

The festival period spans the entire month of July. During the 'Saki-matsuri' (pre-festival), large floats called 'Yamaboko' are erected. On the evenings of July 15 (Yo-Yoiyama) and July 16 (Yoiyama), the intersection of Karasuma and Shijo streets—'Shijo-Karasuma'—transforms into a massive cross-shaped pedestrian paradise. Visitors in yukata can enjoy food stalls and view the illuminated 'Hoko' floats.

From the store, head north along Karasuma-dori from Gojo-Karasuma intersection to reach the main festival area in under 10 minutes.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival. To commemorate this milestone, the event will feature a historic two-part format, including a drone show and laser beam performances.

From Yumeyakata, take the Karasuma Line from Gojo Station to Karasuma-Oike, transfer to the Tozai Line, and get off at either Otsu-Hama or Shimanoseki Station—the closest stops to the event.

Launch Site: Offshore area of Otsu Port, Shiga Prefecture (in front of Biwako Hotel, near Hamotsu Nagisa Park)
