We have adopted a high-performance polyester material that overturns the image of "yukata being hot and stuffy." With excellent water absorption and high moisture diffusion, sweat dries quickly, reducing uncomfortable stuffiness in midsummer. Furthermore, its flowing silhouette naturally creates a "relaxed and sophisticated" look just by wearing it.
Machine washable at home! Easy care with no ironing required.
It also solves unique concerns about traditional Japanese clothing, such as "difficult to handle" or "troublesome to send to the dry cleaner every time." Not only can it be easily machine washed at home, but because it is wrinkle-resistant, troublesome ironing is unnecessary. Furthermore, the excellent quick-drying properties unique to polyester mean it dries so quickly that it can be hung indoors at night and be dry by morning (according to Kimono Machi staff). For the 2026 new collection, we pursued elegant designs that look wonderful when coordinated as a hitoe kimono. The moderately non-slip fabric makes it easy to put on, and by wearing a nagajuban (undergarment) and tabi (socks), you can complete an authentic "hitoe kimono/summer kimono style." You can enjoy a wide range of styles to suit various occasions, not only festivals but also early summer museum visits or lunch at a cafe.
