New Series on Manga Box! "Ano Fuyu no Ryusei ~Hitotose~": A Family's Story Challenging Unanswerable Questions After a Terminal Diagnosis

A new series is set to launch on the popular manga app, Manga Box.

The title of the work is "Ano Fuyu no Ryusei ~Hitotose~" (Winter Meteor ~A Year~).

When a fifth-grade son is confronted with the cruel reality of being diagnosed with pediatric cancer, what will the father, mother, and older sister think, and what decisions will they make? This is the story of one family entrusting their future to a fleeting hope.

The story is by Asami Kashiwabara, known for works such as "Sora no Manimani." The manga is by Go Matsumoto, known for "Lotta Rain" and "Shizuka no Yama." The planning and original idea are by Horipro.

【Synopsis】

A family of father, mother, older sister, and younger brother living a very ordinary life in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. When the younger brother goes to the hospital after a soccer injury, a cruel, life-threatening reality is discovered. What will the family think, feel, and decide when they learn this...? This is a story of family bonds witnessing the fragility of life.

I am in charge of the story. This is my first attempt at such a theme. I declined several times, thinking I couldn't handle such a heavy subject, but I hope to sincerely depict the "hitotose" of the Satake family together with Mr. Matsumoto, who is drawing the manga.
