The production, which opened in April this year, is currently on tour. Documenting lead actor Ryoma Takeuchi behind the scenes has been his long-time friend and photographer, Tim Gallo. At Takeuchi's strong request, an original photo book, condensing the authentic expressions of 'Actor Ryoma Takeuchi' as captured by Tim, has been decided for release.
Across 60 pages, the book includes numerous shots from rehearsals for the musical 'Leap of Faith', precious cuts from before and after performances, scenes from the actual stage, and candid backstage moments. It is a volume packed with Takeuchi's charm, allowing readers to enjoy expressions only seen on stage and his charming true self.
The photo book also includes a handwritten message from Takeuchi at the end, making it a memorial photo book.

This time, as I returned to the stage after five years, I had my own theme.
That was to 'show the truth.'
We actors create truth when we stand on stage. I wanted to show the genuine emotional exchanges that happen there.
Entering the rehearsal room, rehearsing daily with the company, then entering the theater, and the curtain rising.
I received so many indescribable gifts from everyone.
They were passionate, fragile, and delicate.
That's why I wanted to preserve those moments as a record, so I consulted my friend, photographer Tim Gallo, and had him take photos.
And I launched this project because I wanted to deliver the reality of 'Leap of Faith' to everyone.
I would be happy if many people could see it.
About the Musical 'Leap of Faith'
Based on the 1992 film starring Steve Martin, it was adapted into a musical in 2010. The music was composed by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, top creators, and it was performed on Broadway in 2012. It depicts Jonas, a fake evangelist played by Takeuchi, who deceives people and tells lies, re-evaluating his way of life through his interactions with the residents of a certain town, portrayed with powerful songs and performances incorporating gospel and R&B elements.
