TAKEO asobiba Disaster Day to be Held at HONDA TAKEO PARK 'asobiba' on June 14

Honda Cars Chuo Saga (Headquarters: Saga City, Saga Prefecture) will hold the 'TAKEO asobiba Disaster Day,' a disaster prevention experience event in cooperation with Takeo City, on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the community facility 'HONDA TAKEO PARK asobiba.'

This event is held based on the 'Agreement on Improving Disaster Response Capabilities' signed with Takeo City. It aims to demonstrate to the community that 'asobiba,' which functions as a playground for all generations in daily life, can serve as infrastructure supporting the region during emergencies.

On the day, a power supply demonstration will be conducted using a Honda electric vehicle (EV) to provide electricity for part of the event. It will showcase the possibilities of EV utilization during disasters by allowing visitors to 'see, touch, and experience' it firsthand.

Various programs in collaboration with local sports teams and communities will also be featured. From the J.League's 'Sagan Tosu,' Club Conductor Toyoda and others will lead a pre-registered 'Street Soccer Experience.' In addition, a 'Kick Target Experience' powered by the EV will be conducted, creating opportunities to learn about disaster prevention and energy through fun activities.

Furthermore, the 3x3 professional basketball team 'LEO BLACKS SAGA' will host lessons for local teams, providing a special sports experience for children.

The venue will also feature content in collaboration with local businesses, including disaster prevention goods exhibits and workshops by the Takeo City Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Division and the General Incorporated Association Omoyai. Other highlights include disaster prevention item introductions by Kishikawa Hardware Store and food vendors from Naruse Miso Soy Sauce. The goal is to offer an 'experiential disaster prevention event' where visitors can naturally learn and prepare for disasters as an extension of their daily lives, rather than treating it as something special.

asobiba is a place where people gather and build connections in daily life while functioning as infrastructure for the region during emergencies. Through this event, we hope residents will experience both sides of this value and share a new vision for future local hubs.
