The OMY SDGs ACT5 Executive Committee, composed of Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., The Norinchukin Bank, Nikkei Inc., Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., and others, will launch the 7th year of "OMY SDGs ACT5" running for approximately seven months from May 7, 2026.
During the period, various actions will be rolled out, including experiential events, seminars, and collaborative initiatives with local stores promoting SDGs activities based on themes of social issues such as sustainable food, worker WELL-BEING, resource circulation, and diversity & inclusion. Concurrently, this year will continue and strengthen the mechanism of earning points according to individual SDGs actions in collaboration with the "Marunouchi Point App." By involving new cooperating stores, the initiative aims to further promote behavioral change.
OMY SDGs ACT5 (hereinafter, ACT5) uses the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho area (hereinafter, OMY area), which concentrates about 350,000 workers and 5,000 business offices, as a stage. It treats the entire town as a "platform" and creates opportunities to learn about, experience, and take action on social issues. In FY2026, based on the five themes of "Sustainable Food," "Environment," "WELL of People and Society," "Diversity & Inclusion," and "Communication," city-wide actions will be promoted through collaboration beyond the boundaries of companies and organizations. Last fiscal year, 44 actions were deployed, and with the sponsorship and cooperation of 81 companies and organizations from both inside and outside the OMY area, a total of 62,892 people participated. The cumulative number of participants since OMY SDGs ACT5 began in FY2020 has reached approximately 160,000.
