KPMG Consulting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Directors: Minoru Seki, Atsushi Taguchi, Masahiko Chino; hereinafter 'KPMG Consulting') announced the launch of a sustainability co-creation project (hereinafter 'the Project') originating in the Shinjuku area, in collaboration with 'Criacao Shinjuku' (Home Ground: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO of Criacao Co., Ltd.: Kazuhiro Maruyama; hereinafter 'Criacao Shinjuku'), a club belonging to the Japan Football League (JFL).
KPMG Consulting positions support for individuals in vulnerable social situations and initiatives towards realizing an inclusive society as priority sustainability issues to be addressed as a corporation, guided by its corporate policy of promoting women's active participation and its commitment '10by30' (*1) to support youths and children. Sharing this vision, KPMG Consulting has been developing sustainability activities with Criacao Shinjuku, which focuses on community co-creation activities, since the 2025 season. Thus far, they have engaged in community-rooted initiatives with Criacao Shinjuku, including participating in the 'Sun Class x Learning Marche,' an educational program for elementary school students aimed at nurturing dreams for the future, and volunteering at children's homes.
In this newly launched Project, rather than letting each activity end as an isolated point, both parties will work together to resolve social issues from a broader and more sustainable perspective, leveraging their accumulated achievements and strong stakeholder networks. Furthermore, they will co-create opportunities for individuals to internalize complex and diversifying social issues as their own, leading to concrete behavioral changes.
As the first step of this Project, together with Criacao Shinjuku, they will tackle activities themed around Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), a critical issue in Japanese society. First, in April 2026, they will host a 'DE&I Corporate Seminar' featuring professionals from KPMG Consulting and representatives from Criacao Shinjuku. Through this practical seminar, which integrates logical approaches for realizing diversity with 'team building that leverages individual strengths,' they will provide opportunities to elevate understanding into concrete solutions for organizational challenges, encouraging a broader understanding and action regarding social issues.
Additionally, the Criacao Shinjuku vs. Y.S.C.C. Yokohama match scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026, will be titled 'DE&I ACTION DAY Powered by KPMG Consulting.' Through the open forum of sports, they will plan experiential events and broadcast messages regarding diversity and inclusion.
Based on 'Our Impact Plan,' KPMG Consulting will continue to plan and implement various social contribution programs. Alongside providing consulting services, the company will drive the practice of citizenship activities by each and every employee as twin engines for progress.
(*1) A global KPMG goal to 'empower 10 million disadvantaged youth globally by 2030 through education, employment, and entrepreneurship support.'
