Junichi Yoshida of Tokyo Challenged Plus TOPPAN Selected as Japan Representative for the '11th International Abilympics'

Junichi Yoshida, an employee of Tokyo Challenged Plus TOPPAN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Itabashi-ku, Tokyo; President: Atsushi Takahashi; hereinafter 'Tokyo Challenged Plus TOPPAN'), a special subsidiary (*1) of TOPPAN Holdings Inc., has been selected as the Japan representative in the 'Web Page' category for the '11th International Abilympics' (hereinafter 'this competition'), scheduled to be held from Monday, May 10 to Thursday, May 13, 2027.

This competition is a vocational skills competition for people with disabilities, with 52 participating countries and regions. It is held approximately every four years to improve the vocational skills of participants and deepen corporate and social understanding to promote the employment of people with disabilities.

■ Background of Participation
As part of its Diversity & Inclusion promotion, the TOPPAN Group is working to create a work environment where everyone can thrive regardless of disabilities and to promote the employment of people with disabilities. Since establishing Tokyo Challenged Plus TOPPAN in 1993, the entire group has collaborated continuously to develop new businesses supporting people with disabilities and to support their retention in the workplace.

Junichi Yoshida is in charge of website creation at the 'Universal Laboratory' (*2) within Tokyo Challenged Plus TOPPAN. Utilizing the advanced skills and experience cultivated in his daily work, he won the gold medal in the 'Web Page' category at the 45th National Abilympics held in October 2025, securing his spot in this international competition.

I joined TOPPAN Inc. in 2006 and engaged in system design, development, quality control, and internal infrastructure operation across multiple fields. Since transferring to Tokyo Challenged Plus TOPPAN in 2019, I have been working on website creation in various ways, such as verifying web accessibility (*3) to create websites that are easy for everyone to use, including people with disabilities and the elderly, and creating articles for the barrier-free information site 'Rakuyuku'. In this competition, I hope to bring courage and hope to many people by taking pride as a member of the TOPPAN Group and breaking through my own limits.

In addition to web accessibility diagnosis, it conducts universal consulting, interviews, and surveys with people with disabilities, and plans and operates the barrier-free information site 'Rakuyuku', developing media for people with disabilities by people with disabilities.
