Panasonic Connect Group (Group CEO: Ken Sain, hereinafter "Connect Group") today, June 16, 2026, begins providing new features for its digital signage solution "AcroSign(R) (Akuroshain)" that efficiently realize "Projection Signage (trademark application pending)" using multiple projectors.
These new features are integrated with Panasonic Projector & Display Corporation's media processor ET-FMP50 series (hereinafter, FMP). By combining AcroSign(R), which enables centralized remote control and content distribution for multiple video devices, with FMP, which streamlines complex projector image adjustments, the system reduces the workload of on-site image calibration and equipment monitoring. This makes it easier to implement large-scale advertising and spatial presentations using multiple projectors.
The Connect Group aims to improve customers' operational workflows while enhancing visual space value through this solution's market rollout, enabling wider and easier adoption of "Projection Signage" that uses multiple projectors to enhance advertising and spaces.
Background
The domestic digital signage market in Japan has been expanding, driven by post-pandemic recovery in foot traffic and inbound demand. The market is projected to grow from 274 billion yen in 2024 to 460.9 billion yen by 2030 (※). While digital signage currently relies on large displays and LED panels, structural limitations such as weight restrictions and wall installation feasibility at stations, public facilities, and commercial venues have become barriers to adoption. This has increased demand for projectors, which reduce facility construction burdens. However, large-scale projections using multiple projectors often require skilled system engineers to manually adjust images on-site or have specialized staff on standby for troubleshooting. With a shortage of skilled personnel, the complexity of these operations has become a major challenge.
New Capabilities
By integrating AcroSign(R) with FMP, users can easily deploy multiple projectors for advertising and spatial presentations.
Before and After: On-site Image Adjustment and Operational Workflow
1. Reducing On-site Image Adjustment and Operational Burden
AcroSign(R) is a digital signage solution that enables remote control and management via the cloud, including content registration, monitoring of distribution status, and schedule updates. It also easily enables interrupting ongoing broadcasts with alternative content during events. By integrating FMP, which automatically performs advanced image adjustments for multiple projectors (such as overlapping image alignment and geometric distortion correction), the workload for system engineers and staff involved in image calibration is reduced. Additionally, unlike previous versions of AcroSign(R), remote monitoring and control of the projector itself (power ON/OFF, lens shutter ON/OFF, HDMI input switching, etc.) is now possible, eliminating the need for specialized staff to be stationed on-site. This improves the entire operational workflow from on-site image adjustment to content distribution.
2. Automating Content Cropping to Reduce Pre-Operation Workload
When projecting a wide-format content across three projectors, previous versions of AcroSign(R) required manually splitting the content to match each projector's display area (left, center, right) and registering each segment separately to the set-top box (STB) connected to each projector. With this new integration, FMP automatically performs the cropping, allowing operators to simply register and distribute the original content directly through AcroSign(R). This reduces the burden of pre-registration tasks and helps prevent content registration errors.
3. Rapid Maintenance Support via Simplified Configuration and Remote Monitoring
Previously, systems combined equipment from multiple vendors, including projectors, media servers, and other AV devices. When issues arose, users had to contact each manufacturer individually to identify and resolve the problem. Now, FMP simplifies the system configuration, and AcroSign(R)'s interface allows remote monitoring of both the projector and FMP status. This enables Panasonic Connect to provide centralized and rapid maintenance support.
