Practical Application of New Biostimulant "Novitek(R)"

Panasonic Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., under Panasonic Corporation's Air-Conditioning & Ventilation Company, will commercialize "Novitek(R)" (※), a new biostimulant (hereinafter "BS agent") derived from cyanobacteria, developed through a three-company collaboration with Panasonic Holdings Corporation and Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Sumitomo Chemical"), starting April 1, 2026. Sumitomo Chemical will handle the sales of this product.

Biostimulants are materials that enhance the inherent power of crops and soil. "Novitek(R)" is a natural material derived from components produced by cyanobacteria, a photosynthetic microorganism, which gently stimulates plant growth. This component improves crop growth and yield even under harsh environmental stresses such as high temperatures and low sunlight.
