The Hokuriku Mirai Foundation (Location: Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Representative Director: Mikiko Nagai), with its vision of "Realizing a society where everyone can think 'The future can be created!'", has released information for the third call for applications for the 'Project Support Donation' program, targeting organizations working for a better society within Ishikawa Prefecture.
What is 'Project Support Donation'?
This is a mechanism that combines 'donation solicitation' and 'grants' for projects by NPOs and citizen groups in Ishikawa Prefecture.
Instead of providing grants from a predetermined budget, projects are first recruited and selected from active organizations, and then donations are solicited for each project.
The entire amount collected, after deducting operational fees, will be provided as funding for the activities.
This program is not merely a means of fundraising. Through the donation solicitation process, it aims to raise broad awareness of the challenges faced by organizations and the region, and to foster a cycle of 'partners' and 'support' for their activities.
Features and Support System of This Program
To ensure that organizations with little experience in fundraising can participate with confidence, the foundation offers the following support:
・ Direct Fundraising: You can directly solicit donations from those who wish to support the project.
・ Donation Payment Platform Provision: You can use the foundation's system, and donations will be eligible for tax deductions.
・ Specialized Support: You can receive support for refining your fundraising plan (one 60-minute consultation) and for modifying your recruitment page.
・ Public Relations Support: The foundation will cooperate with public relations through its media channels at the start of recruitment and when announcing projects.
Examples of Eligible Projects
A wide range of projects are eligible, tailored to the organization's phase:
・ For Starting Activities: Holding awareness events, costs for establishing a base, first-year activity expenses, etc.
・ For Stepping Up: Creating activity reports, attending specialized training, conducting study tours outside the prefecture, etc.
・ For Strengthening Foundations: Preparations for obtaining legal entity status, creating PR materials (website, etc.), hiring staff, etc.
