Hobonichi Co., Ltd. will hold the early-summer “Seikatsu no Tanoshimi Exhibition” from June 1 to June 7, 2026, where the Hobonichi MOTHER Project will open “MOTHER no SUMMER.” This year’s theme is summer, the outdoors, and adventure. To welcome the coming season, the project has named the event “MOTHER no SUMMER.” The lineup includes backpacks, T-shirts, sneakers, parasols, water bottles, sandals, and beach bags inspired by Nintendo’s MOTHER game series. Since the theme is “SUMMER,” the Summers replica screen will also return in a limited resale. Ahead of the exhibition, new products, excluding some items, will go on sale at the online “MOTHER no Omise” store from 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25. Whether in the city or at any age, the project invites fans to enjoy an exciting summer full of adventure. MOTHER is a role-playing game planned, written, and produced by Shigesato Itoi. Nintendo released three titles: MOTHER for the Family Computer, MOTHER 2: Gyiyg Strikes Back for the Super Famicom, and MOTHER 3 for the Game Boy Advance, released only in Japan. The series’ distinctive dialogue and worldview continue to attract many game fans today. The new product lineup includes the MOTHER parasol, a rain-or-shine umbrella with a 64% heat-blocking rate and over 99% UV protection and light-blocking performance. It uses Toray’s Summer Shield fabric, carbon ribs, and a large 60 cm folding-umbrella size. Price: 16,500 yen including tax. The DRY T-shirt uses original 100% polyester fabric with quick-drying, antibacterial deodorizing, and 94% UV-cut functions. The front chest features embroidered protagonist artwork, while the back is printed with lyrics from the MOTHER song “Pollyanna (I BELIEVE IN YOU).” Price: 4,950 yen including tax. The NEW ERA 9TWENTY caps come in Mr. Saturn purple and beige designs. NEW ERA, founded in New York in 1920, is a cap brand. The Franklin Badge backpack keeps the feel of MOTHER and Ness while creating a modern backpack for everyday use. It was made by FREDRIK PACKERS with a focus on practicality. These colorful embroidered patches have hook-and-loop backing, allowing users to attach and remove them from compatible surfaces, including the Franklin Badge backpack. The backpack is priced at 20,350 yen including tax, and each patch set is 2,860 yen including tax. ALL STAR MOTHER3 is the second collaboration between the Hobonichi MOTHER Project and CONVERSE. Starman, Ramblin’ Evil Mushroom, and Orenchi are each 1,650 yen including tax, while Department Store Spook and Mighty Bear are each 1,980 yen including tax. The Tenda plush turns the small, round, quietly popular Tenda character into a plush toy. In the series, the kind-hearted Tenda were driven into the Deep Darkness and, being extremely shy and silent, searched for the book “Overcoming Shyness.” Price: 1,980 yen including tax. New magnet mascot items include Mr. Saturn fishing for a bird, Kumatora, Duster, Osohe Castle Ghost, the dog-like older brother, Frog with balloon, and Clayman. Each is 1,430 yen including tax. These small soft mascots can attach to refrigerators and other magnetic surfaces, with a lineup commemorating the 20th anniversary of MOTHER3. Measuring 23.5 cm tall, 63.5 cm wide, and 3.5 cm deep, and weighing 1,030 g, it is priced at 27,500 yen including tax. The replica screen series lets fans display the MOTHER series’ distinctive graphics with the vividness of the original game screens.
