An original art exhibition by manga artist Hiroyuki Ohashi, sometimes called a "solitary genius manga artist," will be held at "Hobonichi Sunday" on the 8th floor of Shibuya PARCO. This exhibition will feature over 100 original drawings, primarily from his representative works 'Ongaku,' 'Zokki,' and 'City Lights.' In particular, for 'Ongaku,' you will be able to see so many actual pieces that it will feel like "reading the entire manga through original drawings." Additionally, at the "One-Panel Easy Print Studio" located at the venue, you can use a press machine to "print your favorite panel onto anything you like" on the spot. There is also a special project where customers can order a T-shirt with a panel of their choice. We want to once again deliver the amazingness of Ohashi's manga! This luxurious exhibition was realized with the full cooperation of Mr. Ohashi himself, reflecting our feelings at "Hobonichi." Details of this exhibition can be found at https://www.1101.com/hobonichiyobi/exhibition/7591.html. Hiroyuki Ohashi, Kenji Iwaisawa, Kanzen, Rock'n'Roll Mountain [Biography of Hiroyuki Ohashi] Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1980. Began his activities at age 25 by self-publishing manga books. Works such as 'Nazo Manga Sakuhinshu' and one of his representative works, 'Ongaku,' were created. While continuing to self-publish, he made his commercial debut in a music magazine in 2007. His works spread through various forms of manga, including one-page comics, four-panel comics, and serializations. The short story series 'City Lights,' serialized in 'Morning Two' (Kodansha) from 2011, became a hot topic. Early works included in his self-published books were also compiled into a single volume as 'Zokki.' His original works gained renewed attention with the release of the animated film 'Ongaku' in 2020 and the live-action film 'Zokki' in 2021. In 2025, he will draw the main visual and merchandise for Hobonichi's event "Let's Play Baseball. 2025." Details of this exhibition are provided below. ● Over 100 original drawings from 'Ongaku,' 'Zokki,' and 'City Lights' will be exhibited. ▲Scenes from a past original art exhibition ("16 Small Specialty Bookstores" 2019) Original drawings from Hiroyuki Ohashi's representative works 'Ongaku,' 'Zokki,' and 'City Lights' will be exhibited. Many works were drawn with vigorous strokes without preliminary sketches, allowing visitors to see Ohashi's original drawings up close. The number of pieces is over 100. They will be displayed as much as possible throughout the venue, on all four walls, on display stands, and even in a form that can be held like a book. While 'Zokki' and 'City Lights' will be exhibited as excerpts, 'Ongaku' will feature so many pieces arranged in a row that you can enjoy the story from prologue to end by following the works. ● You can print your favorite panel on a T-shirt or tote bag on the spot. Ohashi's manga panels are very captivating; not only impressive scenes and large spreads within the story, but even small, seemingly ordinary panels become a piece of art when extracted. At the "One-Panel Print Studio" set up in the venue, you can print transfer sheets of about 90 types of "good panels" and "favorite panels" selected together with Ohashi from his three works: 'Ongaku,' 'Zokki,' and 'City Lights.' Choose your favorite panel transfer sheet, place it on a T-shirt or tote bag, and press it with the "heat press machine" at the venue to complete your unique Hiroyuki Ohashi merchandise on the spot. This is an image of the panels you can choose. We have many more panels available than shown here. This is an image of the printed result. For this project, you can also bring your own items, such as T-shirts and tote bags, that you wish to print Ohashi's panels on (you only pay for the transfer sheet). Simple white T-shirts, tote bags, drawstring bags, etc., can also be purchased at the venue. Also, small-sized "transfer sheets" can be applied with a household iron, so they will be sold for take-home use, not just for on-site pressing. [Caution] Due to the printing mechanism, items that have been heat-pressed once cannot be ironed. Washing is perfectly fine as usual, but we recommend avoiding items that require ironing after washing, such as handkerchiefs or dress shirts. Printing is only possible on "flat surfaces." Even if the image differs after completion, compensation for the actual item cannot be provided. Please be aware of this in advance. The print color is "black." ● Hiroyuki Ohashi's signed! Order T-shirts with your favorite panel are also accepted. Approximately 90 types prepared at the "One-Panel Print Studio" and more.
