The All Japan Real Estate Association Fukuoka Chapter (Fukuoka City) has introduced AR (Augmented Reality) technology to a tri-fold postcard for the purpose of plasticizing the Real Estate Transaction Agent license card and providing information on renewal seminars, utilizing the browser AR service "ONCARD" provided by HK STYLE Inc. (Fukuoka City). Shipping to eligible individuals will begin in late June 2026.

This initiative is the first of its kind in Japan for a real estate industry organization to use AR for seminar information postcards.

Moving from a conventional "notice to read" to an "experienceable notice." This was planned not only to ensure that more people see the renewal seminar information but also as a new form of information dissemination that can be enjoyed not only by the real estate transaction agent themselves but also by their families and children.

Through this initiative, which starts with the Fukuoka Chapter, we aim for association operations that are more approachable and more effectively communicated.

Background of Implementation

The Real Estate Transaction Agent license is valid for five years, requiring notification to eligible individuals and dissemination of information on renewal seminars via mail.

However, notices sent by mail are often discarded without being fully read.

Therefore, the All Japan Real Estate Association Fukuoka Chapter decided to:

- Ensure the notice is read thoroughly - Drive applications for renewal seminars - Encourage recipients to keep the postcard - Be known as an association undertaking new initiatives - Provide enjoyment not only to members but also to their families

With these goals in mind, we have embarked on information dissemination using AR.

Features of AR Content

AR has been implemented on two sides of this tri-fold postcard.

● Seminar Information Side

Illustrations created in collaboration with "Yamada Zen Jido," a popular creator from Fukuoka Prefecture, are utilized.

When a smartphone is held up to it, an original video using the illustrations will play.

Furthermore, tapping the Real Estate Transaction Agent license card held by the samurai in the illustration allows access to the renewal seminar application page.

● Access Information Side

When a smartphone is held up to the access information page, a Google Maps button linked to the location of the All Japan Real Estate Association Fukuoka Chapter will be displayed.

By tapping the button, Google Maps will launch, providing smooth guidance to the venue.

Additionally, the official mascot character of the All Japan Real Estate Association, "Rabii-chan," also appears in AR.

It is designed to appear in different forms each season. For the first installment, to match the rainy season, Rabii-chan appears wearing an umbrella, raincoat, and rain boots.

Towards Information Enjoyable for Families Too

In this initiative, we focused on making it enjoyable not only for the real estate transaction agent but also for their families and children.

By making it an "experienceable notice" rather than a conventional "notice to read," we expect it to become a catalyst for conversations at home and foster a greater familiarity with the real estate industry.

Future Developments

As the first phase of this initiative, the All Japan Real Estate Association Fukuoka Chapter is considering the use of AR for posters and billboards in the future.

Additionally, a system is planned to introduce AR business cards at a special price for members of the Fukuoka Chapter, supporting the information dissemination of member businesses.

Furthermore, this initiative has garnered interest from the All Japan Real Estate Association headquarters, and with the Fukuoka Chapter's efforts serving as a model case, expansion nationwide is expected in the future.

Comment from a Representative of the All Japan Real Estate Association Fukuoka Chapter

This initiative is part of the DX (Digital Transformation) promotion by the All Japan Real Estate Association Fukuoka Chapter, aiming to make information more understandable and relatable through digital technology.

We hope that not only real estate transaction agents but also their families will enjoy the content and feel closer to the association's activities than ever before.

The Fukuoka Chapter will continue to actively incorporate new ideas and digital technologies to provide valuable information to everyone.

Comment from Hana Kimura, Representative Director of HK STYLE Inc.

By combining AR with an analog notice like a postcard, we have realized a new experience that offers approachability and enjoyment, as well as smooth access to necessary information. We want to transform paper notices from "things that can be discarded" into "things that people can't help but want to touch."

We will continue to propose new forms of communication by fusing the unique strengths of paper with digital technology.
