■ Profile of "Power of Human Ambassador" Mr. Hideki Matsui
Drafted first overall by the Yomiuri Giants in 1992 out of Seiryo High School. During his 10 years with the team, he won the batting title once, the home run title three times, and the RBI title three times, contributing to the team's 4 league championships and 3 Japan Series titles. In 2003, he moved to the MLB's New York Yankees. In 2009, he was awarded the World Series MVP. He recorded a total of 507 home runs in Japan and the US, establishing a prominent career in Japanese baseball and Major League Baseball.
