Hitachi iQ Lineup Diagram

Hitachi Vantara, Ltd. (hereinafter "Hitachi Vantara"), a group company of Hitachi, Ltd. (hereinafter "Hitachi"), has added the liquid-cooled model of the "NVIDIA HGX B300 Server," equipped with the latest NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra generation, to the enterprise models of its AI infrastructure solution "Hitachi iQ," and begins sales in Japan today. As an on-premises solution responding to the growing importance of AI and data sovereignty, this product significantly improves the processing performance of large-scale AI models, providing an environment where companies can manage critical data in-house while accelerating AI development and practical application.

With the rapid evolution and expanding application scope of generative AI, there is an increasing demand for infrastructure that processes AI models faster and more efficiently. Furthermore, against the backdrop of strengthening economic security and the manifestation of cyberattack risks, the importance of sovereignty to secure data and AI sovereignty is increasing further. Under these circumstances, there is a need for safe data management and the construction of highly reliable AI infrastructure in on-premises environments that do not rely on the cloud. Leveraging its extensive experience and know-how cultivated through the construction and operation of in-house generative AI infrastructure for the Hitachi Group, Hitachi Vantara offers an optimal AI infrastructure solution that meets the diversifying needs of customers with a wide lineup ranging from entry to enterprise models.

Features of the New Hitachi iQ Enterprise Models

(1) High-Speed Processing of Large-Scale AI Models with the Latest GPUs

Equipped with the latest NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra generation GPUs, the NVIDIA HGX B300 strongly supports the high-speed processing of complex AI models such as large language models (LLMs). In addition, the GPU memory capacity has been enhanced to a maximum of 2.1TB, which is 1.5 times that of the HGX B200. The 800Gb/s network, which accelerates communication between GPU clusters, builds an environment where multiple GPUs can seamlessly link data, dramatically improving the processing speed and stability of AI models.

(2) Significant Reduction in Power Consumption and Rack Occupancy with Highly Efficient Liquid-Cooled Models

The liquid-cooled model of the NVIDIA HGX B300 reduces power consumption by up to 40%*¹ compared to the air-cooled model, significantly cutting operating costs. In addition, by reducing rack occupancy by up to 60%*², installation efficiency in data centers is greatly improved. Furthermore, the stable cooling provided by liquid cooling suppresses GPU heat generation, stably maintaining processing performance over long periods. As a result, the design contributes to building high-density AI systems and improving power efficiency.

(3) Supporting High-Speed Data Processing on GPU Servers with High-Performance Distributed File Storage

The high-performance distributed file storage "Hitachi Content Software for File powered by WEKA (HCSF)" has acquired "NVIDIA-Certified Storage" certification at the NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP) level. This demonstrates that it meets the stringent requirements of extremely high scalability (up to 10,000 GPUs), robust multi-tenant capabilities, and strict Quality of Service (QoS) control. Furthermore, the integration of HCSF and NVIDIA AI Enterprise has demonstrated the ability to bring products and services to market faster with validated blueprints and comprehensive AI software lifecycle support.

Hitachi Vantara will continue to provide optimal infrastructure solutions for agentic AI and physical AI through collaboration with the Hitachi Group and advanced global partners, contributing to business innovation and the sustainable growth of our customers.

*1 Comparison with air-cooled servers. Power reduction is achieved by equipment such as air conditioning within the data center and the server itself. The above reduction effect is based on a PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) comparison and serves as an estimated value when the load on data center equipment such as air conditioning and the server itself is optimized.

*2 Compared to 10U for the NVIDIA HGX B200 air-cooled model, the liquid-cooled model requires 4U, reducing rack-occupied space by 60%.

Sales Availability

The air-cooled model of the NVIDIA HGX B300 is already being sold and offered in Japan through Hitachi Vantara and its partners. The liquid-cooled model goes on sale today, March 27, 2026. Please contact us for details.
