AI and the Forefront of Earthquake Disaster Prevention
Chiba University-affiliated startup HiSR Co. is holding an online seminar titled 'AI and the Forefront of Earthquake Disaster Prevention'. Representative Hirooka will explain scientific short-term earthquake prediction, inviting a wide range of participants from corporate/government officials to the general public. We hope this will be an opportunity for you to consider, through our research results, how to protect as many lives as possible and minimize economic damage from mega-earthquakes expected to occur in the future, such as the Tokyo Inland Earthquake and the Nankai Trough Earthquake. Approximately 20,000 precious lives were lost in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, but the Cabinet Office estimates approximately 300,000 lives for the upcoming Nankai Trough Earthquake. Our efforts have the potential to significantly reduce such severe damage. First, we would be grateful if you could take this opportunity to learn about the research at Chiba University and our company. We will also introduce our equity crowdfunding efforts for the development of a new earthquake prediction AI system.
