Our Employee Receives "Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation" from Korea

We are pleased to announce that an employee of H.I.S. Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter, HIS) has received the "Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation" from the Korean government.

This commendation is awarded to individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to the promotion and development of culture, sports, and tourism. This award recognizes our employee, Mr. Yamada, for his long-standing efforts in sending tourists to Korea and contributing to the expansion of tourism exchange between Japan and Korea.

[Reasons for the Award] ・Strengthened cooperation with Korean related organizations, including the Korea Tourism Organization, and worked to expand the number of Japanese tourists sent to Korea from HIS, significantly contributing to achieving a record high of 3.65 million Japanese visitors to Korea in 2025. ・Contributed to expanding regional tourism, which is a challenge for Korea, by strengthening the sending of Japanese tourists to areas other than Seoul, such as Busan, Cheongju, and Andong.

[Comment from Awardee Daiji Yamada] I am deeply honored to receive this award. Korea is an important market for HIS's outbound business and one of the main destinations used by many customers. Encouraged by this award, I will continue to contribute to promoting Japan-Korea exchange through travel and developing tourism.

<Awardee's Brief History> Joined the company in 2004. After working as a consultant and branch manager at sales offices, he engaged in planning business from 2014. From 2022, as the head of planning business for the Asia region, he has been planning promotions in collaboration with various national tourism bureaus to discover the charms of travel destinations and stimulate demand.

HIS will continue to create an environment where individual employees can maximize their expertise and passion, and provide optimal travel services to customers.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation This is a public award ranked next to the Presidential Commendation and Prime Minister's Commendation among government awards, given to individuals whose dedication to their work and remarkable achievements in the tourism industry are recognized at a national level.
