Announcement of Establishment of "IR Business Co-Creation Promotion Office" and "Space Business Enhancement Promotion Office"

H.I.S. Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; hereafter, H.I.S.) established the "IR Business Co-Creation Promotion Office," aimed at regional economic revitalization, and the "Space Business Enhancement Promotion Office," aimed at value creation in uncharted territories, on April 1, 2026.

H.I.S. is committed to creating diverse businesses that transcend the framework of its existing travel operations by leveraging the global networks and know-how it has cultivated. By establishing specialized organizations in the two fields of "Integrated Resorts (IR)," a pillar of Japan's tourism promotion, and the "space industry," which is undergoing rapid global development, we will accelerate sustainable development and social contribution.

1. Establishment of the "IR Business Co-Creation Promotion Office"

We have established a specialized organization aimed at tourism promotion and economic contribution to the local community, in anticipation of the IR opening in Osaka/Yumeshima scheduled for Autumn 2030.

[Background and Purpose of Establishment]

The IR promoted by the government is an extremely important "public policy" for enhancing Japan's international competitiveness. H.I.S. aims to deeply contribute to the revitalization of the Japanese economy and the sustainable development of local communities by pursuing its function as a "hub of exchange connecting the world and various parts of Japan" through the power of "co-creation" that transcends the framework of a travel company.

[Main Activities]

As an organization directly under the Board of Directors, we will strongly promote the following activities:

■ Contribution to the "Gateway of Japan" Function

Utilizing the operational experience of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, and our overseas network, we will support the construction of a system to send visitors from all over the world to various parts of Japan, contributing to the establishment of a stay-type tourism model.

■ Support for MICE Business Development

We will support the establishment of a "globally competitive MICE business" that generates international exchange of people and knowledge, and pursue the enhancement of urban competitiveness.

■ Building Co-Creation Models in Diverse Business Areas

We will deepen collaboration with domestic and international partner companies and local governments in a wide range of fields such as dining, shopping, entertainment, wellness, mobility, and sports.

■ Realization of a Safe and Secure Society

We will investigate overseas precedent cases and the latest technologies for measures against gambling addiction and community coexistence, and propose sustainable operational models.

■ Presence Enhancement and Business Development

With an eye on launching business companies or joint ventures in the future, we will consider active investments and M&A in areas where synergy can be expected.

■ Maximization of Economic Circulation

Through the utilization of regional products and collaboration with local governments, we will pursue the realization of "regional co-creation" to spread the economic effects of the IR throughout Japan.

■ Synergy with the Travel Business
