The 3rd Hiroshima International Festival of Peace and Culture (HiroFes), a comprehensive cultural and arts festival featuring music, media arts, and street dance held every two years, is finally set to open on August 1st. Set against the backdrop of Hiroshima in August, this cultural festival will span over a month. Much attention is focused on the opening ceremony, the 'HiroFes Opening Event,' which will mark the start of the festivities.

The HiroFes Opening Event will feature the 'Hiroshima Award' ceremony, honoring artists who have contributed to the promotion of peace and culture, as well as performances by the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra and a special collaborative program between the orchestra and street dancers.
