Message from the Officer in Charge of Sustainability
Yoshikazu Suyama, Senior Managing Executive Officer and Director
As a company that supports society through electrical measurement, HIOKI fulfills its responsibilities and promotes sustainability management with the mission of passing on a rich natural environment to future generations. The 60,000 saplings planted by all employees on the grounds of our head office factory in 1988 have now grown into a rich forest of approximately 93,000 trees. In addition to "Furusato no Mori-zukuri" (Hometown Forest Creation) in cooperation with the local community, HIOKI has been engaged in environmental conservation for many years, including participation in the "Forest "Mori" Foster Parent Promotion Project."
In 2022, we formulated the "Basic Policy on Sustainability" and the "HIOKI Sustainability Declaration," and we are striving to reduce CO2 emissions in our supply chain not only within our own company but also through collaboration with our business partners.
Encouraged by this evaluation, we will continue to work with stakeholders, including our business partners, to further promote environmental load reduction across the entire supply chain, thereby contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
