Additional Cast Announced for Musical Adaptation of 'I Was Dumped Because I Was Useless at Spirit Magic, So I Chose Exile Over Becoming My Stepsister's Slave'

HIKE Inc. has announced that Shota Kobayashi (Yumekui NEON), Misaki Tanaka, Anri Isobe, Tsuyoshi Matsubara, Akira Kasaya (ON FLEEK), and Kanae Tamiya will join the cast of the musical adaptation of 'I Was Dumped Because I Was Useless at Spirit Magic, So I Chose Exile Over Becoming My Stepsister's Slave.' Comments from manga artist Nemi Takaba and original author Megumegu have also been released. Additionally, ticket details and the sales schedule have been unveiled, with FC pre-sales beginning on June 17.

This work is currently serialized on Shueisha's girls' manga site 'Rimacomi+.' It is an isekai Cinderella story that begins with an engagement annulment and exile.

Directed and scripted by Takaya Okamoto, known for sparking the recent reading play boom with 'A Moment to Remember,' the musical stars Yui Kamishina as Eva, the noblewoman who chooses to leave her country after being dumped for her inability to use spirit magic, and Ken Funaki (NORD) as Alan, the servant who accompanies her. Shota Kobayashi plays Risley, the crown prince of the Barbari Kingdom and Eva's former fiancé, while Misaki Tanaka plays Marty, the stepsister who plots to steal Risley and drive Eva to ruin.

The performances will take place from October 8 to 11, 2026, at Rokko-kai Hall.
