This is the second data center in Kagawa Prefecture. It is also the second data center to utilize a decommissioned school, following the "Genkai Town Data Center" in Saga Prefecture, which opened in August 2025. The Ayagawa Data Center aims for full-scale operation from around the summer of 2026, with the goal of reaching 100% server capacity within 1-2 years.
Approximately 180 related individuals attended the opening ceremony to celebrate the launch of this new base that supports the development of AI technology and regional revitalization.

At the opening ceremony, CEO Shikura expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of many people. He also conveyed a strong determination for the future we aim for, stating, "We will spread the 'Kagawa Model'—launching the next-generation industry of AI from rural areas through collaboration between industry, academia, government, and finance, leveraging local energy—to the world."
