[2026 Summer Special Program] 'The Secrets of Wooden Furniture Enjoyed with Children'

During the summer vacation, HIDA Takayama Store will host experiential programs enjoyable for both adults and children.

Have you ever wondered how the wooden furniture we use every day is made? Through factory tours and workshops, participants will uncover the 'secrets' behind furniture making—learning the process from raw timber to finished product and appreciating the craftsmanship of skilled artisans. Moreover, sustainably managing forests requires the responsible use of their gifts—wood. This program allows participants to touch wood and wood-based products firsthand, learning about the importance of wood and the richness of forests in an enjoyable way.

* Programs without prior registration requirements will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the store on the day.
