Hibiya Kadan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Hiroaki Miyajima) will hold a relay event connecting the entire country, "Sunflower Field Relay," where visitors can enjoy a sunflower field in a cool indoor setting, avoiding the summer heat. The event will be held sequentially on weekends from Friday, July 3, 2026, to Sunday, August 30, 2026, at target stores nationwide (24 stores in total).

In this event, we will recreate a sunflower field reminiscent of a summer landscape using cut flowers (fresh flowers) in cool and comfortable store spaces located near stations or within commercial facilities. Amid concerns about people refraining from going out due to recent record-breaking summer heatwaves and rising prices, Hibiya Kadan proposes this as a summer activity that allows you to fully enjoy summer with high time efficiency (タイパ), without worrying about the weather or temperature, and without spending time traveling.

Hundreds of sunflowers, an overwhelming number that cannot normally be seen, will be displayed in the store, allowing customers to enjoy the "Sunflower Picking Experience" where they can choose their favorite one from the display. Sunflowers can be picked one by one and are offered at a special price (330 yen including tax per stem) for easy enjoyment. As it is a safe event that does not require scissors, children and seniors can participate with peace of mind.

In addition, on weekends during the period, "Sunflower Scooping," where you can experience a summer festival atmosphere by scooping sunflowers floating on cool water with a net, will be held concurrently.

This sunflower field event was also held last year, and participating customers gave feedback such as, "I was surprised to see a sunflower field appear at the station," "It was fun to choose and pick them myself," and "It was great to make summer memories because I couldn't go out due to the heat." This year, we are expanding the number of participating stores to deliver a special moment from our storefronts, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the summer atmosphere in a familiar place. The yellow space of the sunflower field, which is photogenic from any angle, is also ideal as a spot for "oshi-katsu" (supporting your favorite idol/character), which has been a recent trend.
Through this event, Hibiya Kadan aims not only for customers to purchase flowers but also to experience the excitement of choosing their favorite with their own hands and the positive energy that a single flower brings. We will continue to propose the charm of flowers that can be easily enjoyed by people of all ages, and deliver a rich life and smiles filled with flowers to everyone's daily lives.
