UMEDA CREATIVE COLLEGE 2026 Event Collaboration with Fashion Colleges

## Project Overview
The Umeda 1-chome Area Management Association, aimed at improving the value of the Umeda area, will host "UMEDA CREATIVE COLLEGE 2026" from June 1st (Mon) to June 7th (Sun), featuring future-leading young creators from Osaka Mode Gakuen, Votrail Fashion Academy, and Maronie College of Fashion Design.

This event is part of the "Osaka Art & Design 2026" city-wide event and aims to create new value through industry-academia collaboration. The project features internationally acclaimed Dutch artist Bas Kosters, who will showcase massive handmade tapestries created from discarded fabrics, inspired by Japanese visual culture. The program includes collaborative tapestry creation sessions with students and workshops open to the public.

## Key Content
1. EXHIBITION: Display of large handmade tapestries by Bas Kosters and his flat artwork "Sorry Boy."
2. CREATIVE SESSION: Exhibition of tapestries created by fashion students in dialogue with Bas Kosters (Public creation June 2-3; Exhibition from evening of June 3).
3. OPEN WORKSHOP: Held on June 6th (Sat). A textile collage experience where the public can help color a massive tapestry (No reservation required, free of charge).

## About the Organizer
The Umeda 1-chome Area Management Association is an urban regeneration corporation established to promote area management in the Umeda 1-chome district. Through public-private partnerships, it uses advertising revenue to maintain road space, improve convenience, and create vitality in the district.
