Time Out Market Osaka is a food market that continues to "edit" the city's "now." It curates Osaka's food scene from the perspective of "Time Out," a city media outlet that has spent over 55 years editing the "best of the city" in more than 350 cities worldwide.

New stores will open sequentially from May onwards. On May 1st, "Tenmei," a new business venture by popular Osaka/Nishinakajima ramen shop "Jinrui Mina Menrui" and sake sommelier Keita Akaboshi, will debut. In early June, "Koh Thai," one of Osaka's leading Thai restaurants, will appear in a new style. Both have been selected as must-visit locations in present-day Osaka. Please look forward to the new developments in the second year of Time Out Market Osaka.

Attention-Grabbing New Stores Based in Osaka Opening One After Another

"Tenmei," a new business format opening in May 2026, is a high-profile collaboration between "Jinrui Mina Menrui," a popular ramen shop from Nishinakajima, Osaka, and sake sommelier Keita Akaboshi. The core of each bowl is an innovative soup made solely with "water and soy sauce," using no dashi (broth) ingredients at all. High-quality water brings out the umami of the soy sauce to its absolute limit, a deep flavor that deeply moved Mr. Akaboshi himself. Furthermore, by pairing slightly different types of sake carefully selected by Mr. Akaboshi, the bowl of ramen is elevated into an "experience."

In June, "Koh Thai," long loved in Osaka for its authentic Thai cuisine, will open its doors. At Time Out Market Osaka, it will offer a daily lunch set style that blends into the daily lives of office workers. Famous mango sweets and Thai drinks from the main store are also planned to appear.

Other sections are also being prepared for opening through the summer. Details will be announced sequentially from the second announcement onwards.

As a market that continues to edit, we will deliver the "best" of the moment from Osaka.

What It Means to Be a Market That Keeps Editing

"Time Out Market Osaka is not a completed commercial facility, but a 'media that continues to edit,'" says Takuya Nishina, General Manager of Time Out Market Osaka.

"Over the past year, it was each and every shop that graduated from here that nurtured this market. Because of those challenges, the next challenge is born. We face both the shops that have graduated and those we are about to welcome with the same respect.

City trends definitely change within a year. New talents emerge, evaluations are updated, and the flow of people shifts. That dynamism is the charm of the city.

The one-year contract unit is designed to keep pace with the city's speed. To deliver the best dish of 'now' to our current customers. That is the promise of Time Out Market and our responsibility as a media that continues to edit.

Whether it's a taste long loved or a newly recognized talent, we let them coexist in a form appropriate for Osaka at that time. Change itself is the value of Time Out Market.

To keep Time Out Market Osaka a place where people can continue to enjoy the 'now' of this city. That is our job."

The Culture of "Osaka Today" Beyond Food

What Time Out Market Osaka delivers is not just food.

Inside the building, culture beyond food is also shared on a daily basis, including stage events by local artists and DJs, and experiential projects on Sundays that can be enjoyed by parents and children.

Gathered under one roof are everything from award-winning chef's dishes to everyday tastes like ramen and udon. By crossing different genres and atmospheres of food and culture, we aim to be a place where you can experience the very outline of the city.

As a space where food, music, people, and time blend gently, we want to be a place where you can enjoy a different expression every time you visit.

What will appear next in this market that continues to edit? We hope you enjoy that anticipation itself.
