Fumihiko Wakao (Deputy Director General, Center for Cancer Control and Information Services, National Cancer Center)

Graduated from Yokohama City University School of Medicine in 1986. After serving as a clinical resident at Yokohama City University Hospital, resident, medical staff, and head of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the National Cancer Center Hospital, Director of the Cancer Information Provision Research Division at the Center for Cancer Control and Information Services, Center Director, and Business Coordinator at the Institute for Cancer Control, he assumed his current position in April 2023. He also serves as a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Public Health, University of Tokyo, and a part-time lecturer at the Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University.
