Company Comment
"We are delighted that our two grid-scale battery storage projects in the Chugoku and Tohoku areas (totaling 90.47 MW) have been selected in the FY2025 Long-Term Decarbonization Power Source Auction. Grid-scale battery storage is increasingly important power infrastructure, given the growing uncertainty in the energy situation, such as rising energy costs and concerns about stable supply, alongside the expansion of renewable energy. It plays a crucial role in balancing supply and demand, alleviating grid congestion, and stabilizing power supply. Furthermore, projects selected in the auction can contribute to reducing the public burden for grid stabilization. We are steadily realizing the projects selected in the FY2023 auction, and we will leverage the development, investment, and operational expertise gained through this process to steadily advance the projects selected in this auction. While emphasizing coexistence with local communities, ensuring safety, and considering the environment, we will contribute to the realization of Japan's decarbonized society and the advancement of its energy infrastructure."

Future Outlook
With this selection, the Company will promote the commercialization of 90,470 kW of battery storage projects in the Chugoku and Tohoku areas. The Company's portfolio now amounts to a total of 13 auction-selected projects and other initiatives, reaching approximately 650 MW of transmission-end capacity and approximately 3 GWh of rated capacity. The Company will proceed with the prescribed auction procedures appropriately and will work with relevant municipalities, local communities, transmission and distribution system operators, partners, and financial institutions to steadily promote the commercialization of the selected projects.
