Kar Hang showed an interest in drawing from a young age, and his parents have warmly supported him as he silently and earnestly faced his creative work. Initially, he used pastels and paints, but he soon realized that colored pencils were better suited to his creative style. As he continued to draw, his work became more refined and gradually increased in abstraction. Using sharply pointed colored pencils on large white paper, he layers multiple colors. By continuing to draw with deep concentration and energy over many months, his works gradually take on a vivid brilliance. The succession of shapes created in this way evokes the feeling of fabrics, carpets, or embroidery.
Opening Event
On Saturday, May 30, the first day of the exhibition, an opening event will be held!
To commemorate the opening day of the exhibition, we will host an opening event inviting the Grand Prize winning artist, Mr. Kar Hang Mui. We have prepared numerous events, including an Art Cruise to deeply appreciate the art, led by jury member Harriet Salmon and Heralbony staff.
In addition, an Art Cruise led by Heralbony Co-CEO Takaya Matsuda and staff will be held exclusively for HERALBONY CLUB members. All events on this day will have sign language interpretation.
