However, after half a century, can the "correct installation method" that still isn't understood truly be called "correct"? While continuing to manufacture tension rods with a structure that naturally makes customers want to "twist" them, were we not blaming the customers' installation methods for the falls?

This was a question that we, as a tension rod manufacturer, had been unable to confront directly for many years.

■ "Stop saying 'Don't twist'." The development team's decision to reverse their thinking.

The development team's answer to this question was extremely simple.

"Instead of saying 'Don't twist,' let's create a structure that becomes stronger by twisting."

Instead of correcting customers' natural actions as "mistakes," we decided to transform those actions themselves into the "correct" way. This reversal of thinking was the starting point for the development of "Gokupita."

We boldly abolished the "spring structure" that had existed inside tension rods for 50 years. Instead, we adopted our unique new mechanism, "Gokupita LOCK (*3)."

This allows for both "length adjustment" and "powerful pressure against the wall" to be completed simultaneously by simply twisting the pipe intuitively. The more you twist, the stronger the force generated internally, making it possible for anyone to install it without failure and achieve high strength.

1. Intuitive "twist only." A new mechanism that anyone can use without failure.

With the new "Gokupita LOCK (*3)" mechanism, both "length adjustment" and "pressure against the wall" are completed simultaneously by simply twisting the pipe. The step of "compressing and pushing in the pipe" required with conventional spring-loaded types is no longer necessary. There are no complicated procedures. It is designed to be foolproof, allowing anyone to achieve the product's inherent clamping force.

2. Powerful "clamping force" comparable to jack-type rods.

The unique internal structure allows for stronger force to be applied the more the pipe is twisted. This enables it to powerfully push back against the wall with a clamping force comparable to jack-type tension rods, despite its convenient size, and secure it firmly.

3. Approximately double the load capacity with large pads.

A new large pad with a diameter of 3cm is adopted for the contact surface with the wall. The powerful "friction force" generated by this pad and the strong "clamping force" from the built-in screw create a synergistic effect, achieving a load capacity of approximately double (*2) that of conventional spring-loaded types.
