(hereafter 'NECPC').

### Event Overview
'AI×PC DAY 2026' was the first corporate event hosted by NECPC, showcasing the latest trends in AI technology and business application. The event introduced utilization models combining local AI that runs safely on PCs with cloud computing, as well as the latest use cases of 'AI genuinely used in the field' through exhibitions, demos, and presentations.

### Panel Discussion
During the panel discussion 'Toward the Future of AI PC Utilization,' which featured four companies leading the local AI solution market, Azusa Fujie, General Manager of Strategic Promotion, Technology Strategy Division at Headwaters, took the stage.

Fujie proposed the concept of 'Agentic Workflow,' where the edge and cloud work in tandem, and introduced the 'Underwriting Assessment AI Agent' for insurance operations as a concrete example. Developed after interviews with field sales staff revealed that 'unstable or non-existent network connections are frequent,' the agent was designed to enable real-time decision-making in the field while protecting confidential data using a small-scale language model (SLM) locally.

Toward the end of the discussion, Fujie expressed her view that 'we are moving from an era of giving instructions to AI to an era where AI takes the initiative,' stating that if AI that understands user operations and context can be realized, 'PCs will become valuable personal assets.' Furthermore, toward realizing this 'era of proactive AI,' she announced that the company is currently researching and developing the 'Context-Aware Agent Engine (CAE),' which estimates intent from PC operations and screen event contexts and switches support levels stage-by-stage while matching against registered workflows.

### Exhibition: 'In-PC Generative AI Chat Platform Powered by Local SLM'
Headwaters showcased its 'In-PC Generative AI Chat Platform Powered by Local SLM.' Key features presented included the ability to realize generative AI chat without depending on the cloud by using SLMs on the PC, and the ability to utilize the system for business without sending confidential information externally.

Headwaters is promoting hybrid AI utilization that combines local AI and cloud computing in an era where PCs are evolving from 'tools' into 'partners.'
