Drokatsu Competition Experience & Information Session

The Drokatsu Competition is an educational activity where children tackle challenges in teams through drone piloting and programming. It goes beyond simply flying drones—participants develop strategies as a team, assign roles, discuss reasons for failures, and continuously improve through repeated trials.

Through this process, students naturally develop essential skills for the future, including programming, logical thinking, inquiry, collaboration, communication, and leadership.

In an era where generative AI can provide answers instantly, the ability for children to think with peers, experiment in practice, learn from failure, and improve is increasingly vital.

In 2025, the 3rd National Drokatsu Competition was held, with 32 teams from across Japan advancing through preliminary rounds to compete for the national title.

Now, the Drokatsu Executive Committee will host 'Drokatsu Competition Experience & Information Sessions' at two locations—Kanto and Western Japan—for schools, educational institutions, and educational service providers to deepen their interest in and understanding of the Drokatsu program.

The upcoming sessions will introduce the competition’s overview and educational significance, along with hands-on experiences using the educational drone 'CoDrone EDU' for basic piloting and simplified competition activities.

This session does not require prior commitment to adoption. It is designed as an opportunity for educators, school board members, programming schools, STEAM education centers, and private academies to experience firsthand the atmosphere of the Drokatsu Competition and explore the potential of team-based learning using drones.
