HBC to Host 'Akarenga Premium Fest' Again This Year!

Hokkaido Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (HBC) will host the summer festival 'Akarenga Premium Fest' for four days from Friday, July 17 to Monday, July 20, 2026 (a national holiday), at Sapporo's North 3rd Street Plaza (Akapura).

Since the opening of Akapura in 2014, this annual event—except during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic—has offered visitors a real-life experience of the marriage between broadcast content and summer flavors. This year, under the sub-title 'Icchan Delicious Summer Festival: Hokkaido Challenges, Hokkaido is Delicious!', HBC (TV Channel 1 = Icchan) will further emphasize its passion for broadcasting and food.

At the venue, food cabins will offer gourmet dishes featuring Hokkaido seafood. Additionally, visitors can enjoy original dumplings co-developed by the popular program 'Agricultural Kingdom Hokkaido NEXT' and local manufacturers, as well as creative shaved ice conceived by HBC announcers.

On stage, live broadcasts of TV and radio programs will take place, including the public stage of the popular segment 'Rankuin' from the information show 'Kyou Dokki!', a disaster prevention quiz tournament, and live streaming via the community app Pococha.
