The Haseko Group (representative company: Haseko Corporation, headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Satoshi Kumano) conducted its 10th forest maintenance activity on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 'Haseko no Mori' in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture.

The 'Haseko no Mori' project was launched in April 2017 as part of the company's 80th-anniversary commemoration. It began with the signing of a 'Forest Foster Parent Agreement' (※) with Chino City, Nagano Prefecture. Centered on the themes of 'social contribution,' 'future-oriented initiatives,' and 'collaboration with local communities,' the group serves as a foster parent for 13.0 hectares of forest land owned by the Shichikabuchi Zaisan District. Haseko Group employees and their families actively engage in biodiversity conservation activities while deepening ties with local residents.

This year’s event saw participation from 82 group employees and their family members. With cooperation from the Shichikabuchi Zaisan District, the morning session included a nature walk through the forest to deepen understanding of environmental conservation and biodiversity. In the afternoon, participants carried out forest maintenance tasks such as thinning small trees and clearing fallen logs.

Guided by the 'Haseko Group Biodiversity Action Guidelines,' the group continues to promote various biodiversity conservation initiatives as part of its environmental social contribution activities. Moving forward, Haseko Group will continue efforts toward achieving a more comfortable and sustainable global environment and enhancing environmental awareness among all employees.

(※) The 'Forest Foster Parent Promotion Program' is an initiative by Nagano Prefecture that connects local communities eager for forest maintenance with companies and organizations willing to contribute socially through collaborative forest management. Contract period: February 11, 2017 – March 31, 2027.

Additionally, since May 2018, the Haseko Group has also been conducting forest maintenance activities in Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture.
