The 707 Prestige Edition, based on the 707 S3, incorporates the latest technologies from the Signature models to achieve deeper resonance and clearer sound. The exterior features a luxurious Santos Gloss finish, befitting a special edition.

Santos Gloss Finish with 12 Coats of Clear Lacquer

The 707 Prestige Edition features a luxurious Santos Gloss finish on its thick, high-density MDF enclosure with beautiful wood grain veneer, which has undergone 12 coats of clear lacquer. While the standard 700 Series gloss black finish receives 9 coats of clear lacquer, the 707 Prestige Edition undergoes a meticulous process of 12 coats, resulting in a deeper, more beautiful, and lustrous sheen. The difference in film thickness also impacts the sound. The sound of the 707 Prestige Edition possesses a clarity and depth that matches its special appearance.

New Grille Mesh with High Aperture Ratio, Same as 800 Series Signature

To further enhance the superb high-frequency quality offered by Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers, the 707 Prestige Edition introduces a newly designed tweeter grille mesh optimized through FEA (Finite Element Analysis). First adopted in the 801 D4 Signature / 805 D4 Signature, this grille mesh further refines the balance between aperture ratio and rigidity, leading to greater openness, and improvements in both resolution and spatial representation. Engineers at Bowers & Wilkins' research and development facility, SRE (Southwater Research & Engineering), commented, "The difference in sound quality brought about by this grille mesh is noticeable to anyone who listens."

New Speaker Terminals with High-Quality Brass Core, Same as 700 Series Signature

To ensure a cleaner signal path to the speakers, new speaker terminals featuring a high-quality brass core, identical to those used in the 702 S3 Signature / 705 S3 Signature, have been incorporated.

Through the adoption of these special finishes and components, the sound has been refined not only in the high frequencies but also in the mid-low frequencies. The result is a sound that balances clarity, definition, soundstage thickness, and spatial representation – key elements of musical expression – at a high level, befitting the name Prestige Edition.
