81.00% of people feel there are 'no opportunities to meet people in the countryside' | Survey of 200 adults living in car-dependent areas; top reason is 'all the single young people leave the local area' (Survey by Happy Mail)

Happy Mail, a dating and matchmaking app service operated by Ivec Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture) with a cumulative total of 35 million members (*1) (https://happymail.co.jp/), conducted a survey on "meeting people in the countryside" targeting 200 adults living in areas where a car is necessary for daily life.

In this survey, we conducted a multiple-choice questionnaire and compiled results regarding:

　● Whether people feel there are no opportunities to meet others in the countryside

　● (For those who feel there are no opportunities) The reasons why

　● Whether they currently have a partner

　● (For those with a partner) Where they met their partner

1. 81.00% of people feel there are "no opportunities to meet people in the countryside" (200 men and women living in car-dependent areas)

When we asked 200 adults living in car-dependent areas, "Do you feel there are no opportunities to meet people in the countryside?", 162 people (81.00%) answered "Yes," and 38 people (19.00%) answered "No."

In total, 162 out of 200 respondents answered "Yes," indicating that approximately 80% of people living in rural areas feel there are no opportunities to meet others.
