“Dubbed Cinema CLASSICS 2nd” to Launch Monthly from August 2026 with Classic Films on Blu-ray and First-Time TV Japanese Dub Tracks

The long-awaited “Dubbed Cinema” series for fans of TV movie broadcasts will return this year as “Dubbed Cinema CLASSICS 2nd,” with monthly releases beginning in August 2026. The lineup features carefully selected spectacle epics, war action films, comedies, and other classics, newly released on Blu-ray with TV-version Japanese dub audio included for the first time. Depending on the title, some releases will also mark the first-ever disc edition and include rare bonus footage. The series’ regular gift campaign for all applicants will also be held. Customers who purchase four eligible “Dubbed Cinema CLASSICS 2nd” titles will receive the soundtrack CD “Z / Guns for San Sebastian.” Application details are available on the postcard enclosed with the products. The first-half lineup begins on August 5, 2026 with “Sundays and Cybèle -TV Japanese Dub Audio Edition-” (HPXR-3259, 5,500 yen including tax), the Academy Award-winning classic about a wounded young man and a mysterious girl sharing a quiet world by a misty winter lake, now revived with its first dubbed audio release and extensive bonus footage. Also arriving the same day is “Z -TV Japanese Dub Audio Edition-” (HPXR-3260, 5,500 yen including tax), Costa-Gavras’ landmark political thriller inspired by the real-life Lambrakis assassination in Greece, making its long-awaited Blu-ray debut in a collector’s edition. On September 2, 2026, “Guns for San Sebastian -TV Japanese Dub Audio Edition-” (HPXR-3261, 5,500 yen including tax) will be released. The hard-edged western starring Anthony Quinn and Charles Bronson will receive its first disc release with its Japanese dub newly included. The same day brings “Judgment at Nuremberg -TV Japanese Dub Audio Edition-” (HPXR-3262, 5,500 yen including tax), Stanley Kramer’s all-star courtroom drama, newly released on Blu-ray with rare Japanese dub audio and a 2K master. On October 7, 2026, “Wild Geese II -TV Japanese Dub Audio Edition-” (HPXR-3263, 5,500 yen including tax) will make its Blu-ray debut with Japanese dub audio, portraying a rescue operation and international intrigue in Cold War-era West Berlin. Also releasing that day is “Khartoum -TV Japanese Dub Audio Edition-” (HPXR-3264, 5,500 yen including tax), the historical epic set during the late-19th-century Mahdist War, depicting the clash and strange bond between British hero Charles Gordon and the Mahdi, newly released on Blu-ray with its Japanese dub included for the first time.
