ROKKO Mori no Oto Museum, operated by Rokko Mountain Tourism Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nada Ward, Kobe City, President: Akiteru Senoo), will hold the "ROKKO Autumn & Halloween Fair" from August 29, 2026 (Sat) to November 13, 2026 (Fri).

"ROKKO Autumn & Halloween Fair" Overview

This event features Halloween-themed photo spots in the natural garden "SIKI Garden ~Sound Promenade~" (hereinafter referred to as "SIKI Garden"), which utilizes the nature of Mt. Rokko, and allows visitors to enjoy music perfect for this season played on automatic musical instruments such as antique music boxes.

Additionally, starting August 29, 2026, during the event period, the contemporary art festival "Kobe Rokko Meets Art 2026 beyond" and the nighttime event "Hikari no Mori ~Night Art Walk~" (details below) will be held, allowing visitors to enjoy outdoor art and the nighttime SIKI Garden.

Daytime Events and Highlights

(1) Concert Room

In the concert room within the Mori no Oto Hall, we will hold the "Autumn & Halloween Concert Without Musicians," where music with a mysterious and fantastical feel, such as pieces themed around fantasy like witches, will be played on automatic musical instruments like antique music boxes.

Furthermore, for the last approximately 10 minutes of the concerts marked with ★ below, we will present the "Music Box Theater Yoshitomo Nara 'The Puppy Who Wanted a Friend'." The picture book "The Puppy Who Wanted a Friend" (Pictures and text: Yoshitomo Nara, Publisher: Magazine House, First Edition: 1999) drawn by Yoshitomo Nara will be projected onto a screen, with antique music box melodies and narration added to match the scenes.

(2) Music Box Assembly Experience, Instrument Making Experience

With the support of music box craftsmen, you can experience making your own music box by choosing your preferred tune, case, and course (General, Advanced). Instrument making experiences for castanets and tambourines will also be held at the same time. Halloween-themed decorative items (Halloween items from 330 yen each) will also be available.

(3) SIKI Dome Mori no Library

At the "SIKI Dome Mori no Library," which was renovated on April 25, 2026 (Sat), you can spend a relaxing time reading books carefully selected by staff in the dome and surrounding relaxation spaces. During the period, we will also offer books perfect for autumn, including those related to Halloween, and decorate the dome with autumn motifs.

(4) SIKI Garden ~Sound Promenade~

Autumn foliage on Mt. Rokko turns color earlier than in the city, typically reaching its peak from late October to late November. The garden, with its abundant natural trees, is enveloped in natural colors, and you can enjoy autumn flowers such as Japanese anemones. We also recommend taking photos within the garden using free rental decorations related to Halloween.

Nighttime Event and Highlights

Hikari no Mori ~Night Art Walk~ (ROKKO Mori no Oto Museum Area)

You can view nighttime-exclusive works from "Kobe Rokko Meets Art 2026 beyond," and within the garden, which is illuminated with lanterns and other lights, you can also enjoy the "Twilight Cafe" at Mori no Cafe (*1) and the "Night Tree House."

"Kobe Rokko Meets Art 2026 beyond" Event Overview

This is a contemporary art festival set on Mt. Rokko in Kobe. At this facility, in addition to Yoshitomo Nara's permanent work "Peace Head" from last year, you can view numerous outdoor art pieces by artists active both domestically and internationally, such as Yayoi Kusama's "Pumpkin" currently on display as a special loan.
