Hansard International Limited (hereinafter 'Hansard'), registered as a Financial Instruments Business Operator (Investment Management Business) in Japan, has entered into a business alliance with GUARDIAN JAPAN Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Guardian Japan'), a Type II Financial Instruments Business Operator, and announced the full-scale launch of its business in Japan.

## Background and Purpose of the Alliance

Hansard is an insurance company based in the Isle of Man, a British Crown Dependency, and is a group company of Hansard Global plc, listed on the London Stock Exchange. Hansard has been providing services in the global market for many years. In the Japanese market, it has established a Japan branch, registered as an investment management operator, and built a system that complies with related laws and regulations.

Hansard will develop and supply Capital Redemption products as a collective investment scheme (a scheme based on a foreign silent partnership agreement) that falls under Article 2, Paragraph 2, Item 6 of Japan's Financial Instruments and Exchange Act. It has submitted notifications as securities so that financial products from the Isle of Man can be publicly offered in Japan, which is the first initiative of its kind in Japan* (*According to Hansard's research).

Guardian Japan was established in Japan as a wholly owned subsidiary of Guardian Guernsey Limited, headquartered in Guernsey, a British Crown Dependency. Utilizing its global financial product sales know-how, it will provide detailed solutions to Japanese customers as financial professionals.

Following this alliance, the two companies have held discussions, jointly developed regular investment-type products for Japan, and started sales. Going forward, Hansard and Guardian Japan will continue to cooperate and promote the provision of new solutions to investors in Japan.
