Atarashii Gakko no Leaders, Awich, Hitsujibungaku, LANA to Perform: 'Women In Music - EQUAL STAGE' Held as MAJ2026 Pre-Event, Themed on Women's Empowerment

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, during the award week of 'MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026', Japan's largest international music award, an event to promote 'gender equity' in the music industry, 'MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN WEEK SPECIAL LIVE Billboard JAPAN | Spotify present Women In Music - EQUAL STAGE', will be held at SGC Hall Ariake. Leading the domestic and international music scene, Atarashii Gakko no Leaders, Awich, Hitsujibungaku, and LANA (in alphabetical order) will perform on the day. 'Billboard JAPAN Women In Music' is a project launched by Billboard JAPAN in 2022, aiming for a more inclusive society by introducing 'cool' women who empower society through their activities and the people who support them from various angles. 'Spotify EQUAL' is a program globally launched by Spotify in 2021 to expand opportunities for female artists/creators to express themselves and continuously support their activities. Combining these two major brands, this one-night-only stage will bring together active female artists from Japan and abroad who resonate with each other. Furthermore, Chie Honma, a TV Asahi announcer who also won the 7th Japan Podcast Award 'Spotify EQUAL Award' for her podcast program 'Honma no Honne ~Watashitachi no Moyamoya News Kaigi~', will serve as the MC for this event.
