Hankyu Hanshin Holdings is advancing the "Hankyu Hanshin Future Dream Town Project" to realize "a town where people want to live forever" in the regions along the Hankyu Hanshin railway lines. Following the announcement of the new wrapping train "Yume-Machi Action Go" commencing operation on April 18, the company is now announcing a headmark design contest for this train and an art workshop to decorate the side wall of the train car wash machine at Hirai Depot. The "Yume-Machi Action Go" headmark contest, themed "Actions leading to a town where people want to live forever," aims to encourage participants to consider the future of their towns through design. The application period is from May 1 to July 10, 2026. Up to eight selected designs will be displayed on the "Yume-Machi Action Go" trains for approximately three months from October to December 2026. The trains will operate on the Hankyu Kobe, Takarazuka, and Kyoto lines, and the Hanshin Main and Namba lines, including their connecting sections. The car wash machine mural art workshop, "Yume-Machi Action Team - Let's decorate the train car wash wall!", will be held on May 31, 2026, from 10:00 to 15:00 at the elevated space of Hankyu Electric Railway's Hirai Depot (7-1-1 Hirai, Takarazuka City). The theme is "Town where people want to live forever - Town colors, dream flowers," where participants will paint flowers on panels. The completed 5m x 4m artwork will be displayed on the side wall of the train-only car wash machine within the Hirai Depot premises and will be visible from trains on the Takarazuka Line (between Hibarigaoka-Hanayashiki Station and Yamamoto Station). The workshop is open to 20 participants aged junior high school and above, and 10 elementary school students. These events are organized by Hankyu Hanshin Holdings, Hankyu Corporation, and Hanshin Electric Railway Co., Ltd., with planning supervision by the SDGs Civil Society Network, an organization comprising approximately 130 NGOs, NPOs, and companies working towards SDGs.
