From Wednesday, July 8 to Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Hankyu Umeda Main Store's 1st Floor Koto Koto Stage 11 will host an event, "THE LAST STORE 2026 [Heaven and Earth, Only I Am Honored] - A Custom Order Event for 'Special Photochromic Lenses' that Transform for You -" a collaboration between vintage eyewear specialty store "THE LAST STORE®" and "KODAK Lenses," which handles special photochromic lenses. This limited-time event allows you to order your own special eyewear by combining one-of-a-kind vintage eyewear with photochromic lenses tailored to your skin tone and preferences.

Professionals Propose from 10,000 Pairs of Vintage Eyewear

From an extensive collection of vintage frames, professional stylists will propose a pair that suits each customer. They will provide total coordination, not only for the frame shape but also for the lens color to match the customer's skin tone.

Photochromic Lenses Customizable from Your Favorite Color to Another

We use "KODAK Lenses" photochromic lenses that change their darkness in response to UV rays. They protect your eyes as sunglasses with "dark colors in bright outdoor conditions" and provide a makeup effect that enhances your facial impression by maintaining "light colors indoors and at night." The biggest feature is that, unlike usual, the color can be customized to change from "your favorite color to another favorite color." Prescription lenses are also supported, finished with a natural coating that does not reflect green.

Witness Craftsmanship Up Close! Live Lens Processing Performance

A special processing area (lab) will be set up within the venue. Artisans in white coats will demonstrate the lens processing steps, normally performed backstage, right in front of the customers. You can experience with all five senses the process of a pair of sunglasses coming to life and being completed.

"THE LAST STORE®" is a specialty store for vintage eyewear, jewelry, and watches, opened on the 1st floor of Hankyu Men's Osaka in 2020 by the Okamoto brothers, founders of "SOLAKZADE®" in Harajuku, Tokyo. Like specialty stores that used to exist in shopping streets, it offers an experience of finding the most suitable item from a rich collection and provides careful support for its subsequent maintenance.
